Dual in-line package (DIP) is an integrated circuit package that has two rows of pins or lead-wires for through-hole mounting positioned along opposing long sides of the package. The number of leads and the spacings between leads and between rows are all standardized, the most common spacing being 2.54mm (0.1in) between centers of adjacent pins.
