In PCB manufacturing and PCB assembly, Testing is a method for determining whether a bare PCB and/or a PCB assembly (PCBA) conforms to a set of parameter and functional specifications.

The circuit board is a top-quality product that should not cause your end product to cost your money due to failures and recalls. Regarding PCB testing per IPC standards, there is, at this time, no required schedule for qualification testing. The most commonly requested of the test from these specifications are specified below.

PCB Testing as per Performance Specifications

The testing is recommended when using a new supplier or a step of the manufacturing process is changed. Conformance testing is periodic based upon class of product (quarterly for Class 2, monthly for Class 3). Acceptance testing is to be performed per lot.

PCBA Testing as per Customer’s Procedures and Requirements

MADPCB’s dedicated SMT facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art test and verification equipment. Finished PCBAs are inspected to IPC-610, IPC-620, and J-STD-001 standards. In the PCB assembly process, our team will check proper component placement and functionality with a variety of methods including SPI, AOI, AXI and ICT inspection, and PCBA FCT if in demand.
