Testing Procedures of PCB Assembly
Various testing method will be applied to the assembled PCB boards before shipping to your hand.
- Visual Inspection: general quality check.
- FAI (First Article Inspection): full quality check applied to the first PCB to pass through all processes of production.
- X-ray Inspection: Checks the soldering quality of BGAs, QFN and leadless components, like LCC.
- AOI Inspection: Checks for solder paste, 0201 components, missing components and polarity.
- SPI (Solder Paste Inspection): measures the precise volume of solder paste onto the PAD for SMT assembly.
- Functional Testing: Checks whether the PCBA assembled work as per the indications in your test procedures.

If need programming, you also need to share us the programming method, programming kit or jig’s pogo pin connection drawing, program, and programming time estimation. If need functional testing, you also need to share us the functional testing procedures. Programming and functional testing are labor costs, which are estimated upon time consumption and tool customized fee.
